Dr. Kacmarcik is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience providing treatment to adolescent, young adults and adults through individual and family therapy. Dr. Kacmarcik’s style is warm, relaxed and compassionate. She creates a safe, non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients in order to help them achieve a greater sense of happiness, integrity and satisfaction in their lives. Dr. Kacmarcik believes the goal of therapy is to help clients develop a better understanding of what is interfering with them finding happiness, solving problems and to identify options for achieving more control and direction in their lives. Through therapy clients learn to develop increased emotional, behavioral, cognitive and interpersonal awareness. Clients can anticipate experiencing growth in their self-esteem, self confidence and improved relationships with others. Dr. Kacmarcik has experience working with a diverse population of clients and a broad range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADD, family of origin issues and relational difficulties. She also has special interest in working with postpartum women struggling with the adjustment to new motherhood. Additionally, she works with students with ADD who are transitioning to college and those in college who are experiencing academic difficulties.
